Project the quiz, play it together
Fifteen questions every Thursday, easiest first. Nothing is graded, so even the kids who never volunteer have a go. It never feels like learning, which is exactly why it sticks. Run it whichever way suits your room:
- On the board, together. Put the quiz up and work through it as a class. No student accounts at all, and it turns into a group discussion on its own.
- Everyone on their own account, with premium. Students join from your link and get premium the moment they are in. Their scores build your class leaderboard, and every past quiz is theirs to play too. And the account goes home with them: the same login works on the couch on Thursday night, so the whole family plays along on the school’s plan.
- As homework. Set it for the week and let them play at home with the family. The leaderboard shows who has taken part, so it works as a participation exercise and nobody needs to sweat the score.

How it works
The plan gives your school one admin and two links, and the links do the rest.
One admin sets it up
Whoever buys the plan is the school admin. Two minutes after paying they have a school page with two links on it: one for teachers, one for students. Nothing to install, nothing to configure.
Teachers join from the teacher link
Share it in the staffroom. Each teacher enters their name and school email and they are in. Teachers can create class leaderboards, host Quiz Live and remove students.
Students open the link and sign themselves up
Post the student link where your class already looks: Google Classroom, Teams or Seesaw. Each student signs up with Google or their name and email, no password, and lands on the quiz with premium switched on. There is a QR code too, for tablets.
Host Quiz Live from the board
Any teacher can run the weekly quiz as a live game. Put the four letter code on the board, students join at kidsquizweekly.com.au/live with a nickname, no account needed, and the ladder updates as they answer.
Lost a login? Magic link to the rescue
Nobody has a password to forget. On the sign in page a student types their email, we send a link, they tap it. That is the whole recovery process.

Seven days free with the card on file, and nothing is charged until day 8. Cancel from your billing page if it is not for your school. If it is, every teacher and student has premium from the first tap.

Your school page gives you two links. Share the teacher link with your colleagues and post the student link where your class already looks, like Google Classroom, Teams or Seesaw. Everyone signs in with their school email address and a link we send them, so nobody has a password to forget.

Most schools cover it from the classroom resources or curriculum budget, and at $299 a year it sits under the amount that usually needs a formal quote. If your school gives you a per class resource allowance, this fits comfortably inside it. If you end up paying yourself, teaching resources you use in class are often tax deductible, so keep the receipt and check with your accountant.
Just one classroom? You do not need the school plan. A personal Premium membership is $50 a year and gives you the whole library, class leaderboards your students join for free, and Quiz Live hosting. The school plan is for when every teacher and student at the school should have premium.

Your card is charged $299 for the year on day 8 unless you cancel first from your billing page, and we email you three days before so there are no surprises. Cancel later and the plan runs to the end of the year you paid for.

The quiz is ordered easiest to hardest, and the spread is the point. In a junior class the first ten are the sweet spot. In a senior class the last five are where the real fight is, and the sport and current events questions land well with teenagers. Plenty of adults play every week and do not get them all right. Upper primary and lower secondary is where most of our classroom teachers sit.

Yes, and they always could. The weekly quiz is free for everyone, every week, school plan or not. With a school plan there is more: a student’s account is a premium account, and it goes home with them. The same login on the family iPad opens the whole quiz library, so Thursday night becomes a family thing on the school’s plan. Kids who play at home usually end up your most regular players in class.
