A brand new quiz every Thursday!

About

Fun for kids, tough for adults, perfect for families and classrooms.

We love a good quiz night and we always tried to get the whole family involved. The trouble is that almost every online quiz is written for adults. The kids fire up for the first question or two, then drift off the moment it gets too hard.

So we built Kids Quiz Weekly. Every Thursday we release a fresh quiz designed for everyone to play together. There are easy wins for the younger ones, trickier questions for the adults, and a few that only the kids are likely to know.

Hundreds of families and classrooms across Australia now play every week. Some play over dinner on Thursday night, some save it for the weekend, and plenty of teachers run it as a Friday afternoon treat.

We reckon it's screen time you can feel good about. No trashy ads, no popups, and not another feed to scroll through. Just ten minutes of the whole family shouting answers at each other.

Made for families and classrooms

At home. The quiz works best played out loud together. Questions start easy so the six year old gets on the board early, and finish hard enough that the adults have to earn it. There is no app to install and nothing to set up. Open the quiz and go.

At school. A lot of our regulars are teachers. The quiz projects nicely on a board, runs in ten to fifteen minutes, and covers enough topics that every kid gets their moment. The archive of past quizzes works well for revision, and there is a print option if you want paper copies.

Can you solve these? A few favourites from past quizzes.

How we make the quiz

Every quiz is 15 questions, ordered from easiest to hardest, across topics like animals, geography, sport, movies, music and general knowledge.

We actually started out at 30 questions a week. The kids and families playing along soon set us straight, so we honed it down to 15. Long enough for everyone to get their moment, short enough to finish before the little ones drift off.

We know a lot of kids think in pictures, so every week includes a couple of visual questions. Flags, maps, emoji puzzles, picture brainteasers. They are usually the ones families argue about the longest.

The quiz is self marked. You reveal the answer and tell us honestly whether you got it right. It keeps the game moving and, as it turns out, kids take the honesty system very seriously.

Thousands of quiz submissions tell us exactly which questions were too easy or too hard, and we use that to tune the next week's quiz.
