A new quiz every Thursday!

Is grumbleflump a real word?

Only 51% of players spotted the made up word in Quiz 50, which made it the hardest question of the lot. The rest of the quiz was kinder, with families averaging 11.4 out of 15. Current Affairs was the topic that caused the most damage.

Is grumbleflump a real word?

No. Grumbleflump is the invented one. The other three are all genuine: lollygag means to dawdle or waste time, a snollygoster is a sneaky and untrustworthy person, especially a politician, and gobbledygook is language that sounds important but means nothing.

Just 51% of players picked the fake, which made this the hardest question in the quiz. Grumbleflump probably deserves to be real though, so feel free to use it on whoever sulks after losing at the next family games night.

What is the new Arnott's Shapes flavour called?

It is called Bizza. Arnott's took two of the most argued over flavours in the box, Barbecue and Pizza, and smooshed them into one biscuit.

56% of players knew it. That is a good hit rate for a flavour that has only just landed, and it says something about how closely Australian families watch the biscuit aisle.

Look closely. What animal is this?

Have a proper look at the photo above before you read on. It is a horse, photographed close enough that you are really only seeing an eye and a fringe of eyelashes.

81% of players got it, which made this one of the easier questions of the week. Kids tend to beat adults at these. They go straight to the texture instead of trying to reason it out.
